Menanggapi isu kemunculan Bitcoin Gold dari jaringan Bitcoin, melalui press release ini, Indodax.com hendak menyatakan beberapa hal.
Bitcoin Gold Split
- Bitcoin Gold [BTG] merupakan sebuah asset digital baru yang akan terlahir dari proses fork Bitcoin. Kemunculan Bitcoin Gold, bila memang terjadi, akan menjadi peristiwa fork yang mirip seperti isu Bitcoin Cash yang terjadi pada tanggal 01 Agustus 2017 lalu.
- Saldo BTG akan direkam pada blok Bitcoin nomor 491407, namun tanggal peluncuran Bitcoin Gold masih belum ditentukan secara pasti oleh pengembang Bitcoin Gold.
- Keamanan aset member Indodax.com adalah prioritas utama kami. Oleh karena itu, kami akan merekam seluruh saldo member sesuai dengan waktu munculnya block 491407 pada blockchain Bitcoin. Proses rekam saldo ini akan digunakan sebagai dasar untuk mendistribusikan BTG apabila proses fork sungguh terjadi.
- Member Indodax.com yang memiliki saldo BTC di www.indodax.com hingga kemunculan blok Bitcoin nomor 491407 akan mendapatkan saldo BTG dengan porsi saldo 1:1 dengan saldo BTC yang mereka miliki.
- Block 491407 diprediksi akan terjadi pada sore hari tanggal 25 Oktober 2017 (WIB). Waktu bisa berubah sesuai dengan kondisi jaringan blockchain.
- Kami tidak bisa memberikan kepastian kapan fitur market BTG dan wallet BTG akan tersedia pada Indodax.com. Kami juga tidak memberikan jaminan bahwa proses split akan berhasil sepenuhnya sehingga porsi saldo BTG akan 1:1 dengan saldo BTC. Kami akan memberikan pengumuman tambahan terkait proses penarikan Bitcoin Gold setelah kasus split dinyatakan selesai.

- Pada saat press release ini ditulis, informasi terkait jaringan Bitcoin Gold belum tersedia secara mendetail sehingga Indodax.com belum memutuskan untuk membuka market Bitcoin Gold.

- Saldo Bitcoin, saldo Rupiah maupun saldo cryptocurrency lain yang Anda simpan di Indodax.com, akan sepenuhnya aman tanpa mengalami perubahan, dan tetap bisa diperjualbelikan sewaktu-waktu. Namun, Indodax.com memiliki hak untuk menghentikan proses jual-beli Bitcoin-Rupiah di platform kami pada saat forking terjadi bila dibutuhkan.
- Indodax.com akan melakukan semua upaya terbaik untuk memberikan saldo Bitcoin Gold ke seluruh pengguna kami yang memiliki saldo BTC ketika fork terjadi, namun sampai kami memiliki dompet BTG yang benar-benar stabil, kami tidak dapat menjamin bisa memberikan saldo BTG tersebut sesuai dengan ekspektasi atau mempertimbangkan untuk membuat market Bitcoin Gold. Responding to the issue of Bitcoin Gold’s emergence from the Bitcoin network, through this press release, Indodax.com would like to make a few statements.
The Bitcoin Gold Split
- Bitcoin Gold [BTG] is a new digital asset that will emerge from the Bitcoin fork process. The development of Bitcoin Gold, if it does happen, will turn out to be quite similar to the Bitcoin Cash issue that occurred on August 1st, 2017.
- The BTG balance will be recorded on the Bitcoin block number 491407, but the official launch date for the Bitcoin Gold network is still undetermined by the Bitcoin Gold developer.
- Our members’ asset security is our top priority. Therefore, we will record all members’ balances in accordance with the time block number 491407 appears in Bitcoin Blockchain. The process of recording these balances will be used as a basis for distributing BTG if the fork truly happens.
- Everyone that owns BTC balance at www.indodax.com before Bitcoin block number 491407 shows up, you will get BTG balance with 1: 1 balance portion compared to the BTC balance you have.
- Block number 491407 is predicted to occur on the afternoon of October 25, 2017 (WIB). Times may change according to the state of the blockchain network.
- We cannot provide certainty when BTG market features and BTG wallet will be available on Indodax.com. We also do not guarantee that the split process will be fully successful so that the portion of BTG balance will be 1: 1 with your BTC balance. We will provide additional announcements regarding the withdrawal of Bitcoin Gold after the split case is declared complete.

- At the time this press release was written, information related to Bitcoin Gold network is not yet available in specific details so Indodax.com has not decided to open Bitcoin Gold market.
- When BTG wallet feature is available, you can withdraw BTG balance from Indodax.com to another wallet or exchange.
- We will add Bitcoin Gold market to Indodax.com if the wallet is stable and manage to meet our criteria in securing our users’ assets.

- If the development of the forking situation remains questionable, we have the right to discontinue the deposit or withdrawal process of Bitcoin from Indodax.com for a longer period of time than specified.
- Your Bitcoin, Rupiah or any other cryptocurrency balance in Indodax.com will be completely secure without any changes, and may be traded at any time. However, Indodax.com has the right to discontinue the Bitcoin-Rupiah sale process on our platform when forking occurs if required.
- Indodax.com will provide our best effort to credit Bitcoin Gold balance to all of our users who have BTC balance when fork occurs, but until we have a truly stable BTG wallet we cannot guarantee that we’re able to provide the BTG balance as expected or to consider creating a Bitcoin Gold market.
